Dear Parent/Guardian:

Thank you for your interest in Drive Tek’s Youth Driver Education Program.   These are the scheduled classes that will be offered at Ames High School.

AMES HIGH SCHOOL –  Room B-8 - $360 SESSION DATES CLASSROOM TIMES AME0948 Nov 2 thru Dec 14, 2009 No class Nov 26 M, TH 6:00 – 8:30 PM I-Pod Touch will be given away Knutson AME1049 Jan 11 thru Feb 18, 2010 M, TH 6:00 – 8:30 PM Knutson AME1050 Feb 22 thru April 8, 2010 No class during spring break M, TH 6:00 – 8:30 PM Knutson AME1051 April 12 thru May 20, 2010 M, TH 6:00 – 8:30 PM Knutson AME1052 June 7 thru June 25, 2010 M,T,W,TH 8:00 – 10:30 AM Voss AME1053 June 7 thru June 25, 2010 M,T,W,TH 11:00 – 1:30 PM Voss AME1054 July 5 thru July 23, 2010 M,T,W,TH 8:00 – 10:30 AM Voss Student's driving schedule will be set up at the first class. Students will be driving during the day and possibly on the weekend outside of the scheduled classroom time.

The student’s driving schedule will be arranged with their instructor at the first class session.  Driving times will occur at various times to accommodate the needs of the students.   

All of the scheduled classes are state certified and include 32 hours of classroom instruction, with 4 hours of instruction covering alcohol and drug abuse as it relates to the driving task and 6 hours of actual on-street driving.

You can register on line at www.drivetek.com or mail a registration form indicating your class preference.   The US mail address is 9120 NW 26th Street, Ankeny, IA  50023.  The class confirmation will be sent approximately one week before classes begin. 

The cost of the course is $360.  $100 registration fee is due with your registration. Full payment is due at the 1st class.
