Pauline J. Van Wyk, Vice President
Personal and Business Experience
Pauline Van Wyk worked at University of Iowa until she and her husband Rod moved to Ankeny in 1974.
Pauline was a secretary to the Director of Veteran Affairs at Des Moines Area Community College from 1974 to 1979. She had the responsibility of tracking paper work for more than a thousand veterans with the Veterans Administration as well as her duties as personal secretary to the director.
From 1979 to 1988, Pauline was a communications operator with the Department of Public Safety. In addition to answering calls from the public and dispatching law enforcement personnel, Pauline also operated the Iowa System. The Iowa System is the crime commuter used by law enforcement throughout Iowa.
In 1998, Pauline became a Management Analyst for the Iowa Department of Public Safety. She had the responsibility of auditing all law enforcement agencies in the state to assure compliance with State of Iowa Rules and Regulations as well as those of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as they relate to the National Crime Information Computer.
Pauline is currently a training officer with the Iowa Department of Public Safety. She currently trains police officers and communications personnel in the operation of the Iowa System. During the last year Pauline trained more than a thousand persons in the use of this computer system.
Pauline is an instructor for Weight Watchers International.
In 1993 and 1994, Pauline was the accountant for the Eddyville Raceway Park.
Also she was responsible for publishing and bulk mailing the dragway newsletter "The Eddytown News".
Pauline is a major stock holder in Drive Tek Inc.
